The Canadian Association of Private Language Schools (CAPLS) represents over 100 locations of private English and French language schools in the most prestigious cities of Canada.

CAPLS’ primary function is to work together with Canadian officials to make studying in Canada the obvious choice students from around the world. This is achieved through ongoing government lobbying; international marketing; and a detailed accreditation process, standards and code of ethics that CAPLS members must meet.

Whether you want to learn French or English – or both – look for the CAPLS Accredited logo and remember that CAPLS member schools are committed to the high standards and code of ethics set forth by CAPLS.

CAPLS Quality Accreditation Scheme ™

The mandatory CAPLS Quality Accreditation Scheme ™was officially launched for it s members in 2005. The new standards are divided by 6 major categories, with over 70 individual quality standards, and numerous detailed specifications. The model was derived by re-articulating CAPLS existing standards, referencing CAPLS comprehensive code of ethics, and examining other international accreditation schemes around the world.

Contingent to the CAPLS accreditation scheme, site inspections are required by a qualified third party consultant to verify each member's adherence to the extensive set of standards. All CAPLS member locations have now completed an inspection, and will be re-inspected every three years.

The aim of CAPLS accreditation process is to demonstrate the excellent set of standards that exist within all CAPLS member schools. In addition, accreditation seeks to meet the following three goals:

1. To enhance Canada's global reputation and reinforce international marketing initiatives by 'certifying' the excellence and quality of service offered by CAPLS member schools.

2. To enable the industry to grow in its ability to become self-regulating and increasingly responsible for upholding the reputation of the private language sector.

3. To assist the industry to work in conjunction with the Federal Government toward a formalized Immigration Policy.  <<Contd'...>>  Choose Canada and CAPLS...
